About Summer Supper Clubs: August
Want to connect with some Liberti folks that you may not already know well this summer? Want to eat food? If so, our Summer Supper Clubs are for you! In August, Liberti peeps can sign up for a shared meal in which we'll hang, sup, and be merry. The goal for each club is to have about eight adults who will be grouped together to gather at a host home on a given night with no agenda other than to get to know each other a bit more. (It will be up to each cluster to tackle food and childcare plans.) We're giving our Summer Mini-Courses a sabbatical for this year, and as a result, these Summer Supper Clubs will be a primary vehicle for building some community between now and September. Whether you're a newcomer to church or an old timer, this is an opportunity for you to make some new friends! If you want to participate in August, register online here by Wednesday, 7/31.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What does it mean to host?
A: As a host you are in charge of coordinating date, time, location and food. You can host at your house or coordinate with your group for another location. You will also be the main contact person for your group and responsible for passing on all detailed information.
Q: Does the meal need to be a dinner?
A: The decision can be made by majority. Dinners are a great idea, but you could also do a brunch or lunch.
Q: Can we meet at a restaurant?
A: We encourage the experience to be in the home as it provides for a more relaxed and intimate setting, but it’s up to you to coordinate with your group.
Q: Are children invited?
A: Parents are encouraged to enjoy a “grown-ups" night out! Ideally this is an adult gathering, however, it’s up to your group to coordinate childcare if necessary.
Q: How long does it last?
A: Most supper clubs like this last about three hours. Time flies by with great company and great food!
Q: Do we just eat and leave?
A: The purpose of Summer Supper Club is to spend time together. After dinner coffee, board games, bowling, yard games or just chatting together are all encouraged.
Q: Can I participate if I am single?
A: Absolutely! You may participate as an individual, or, if you wish, two people can sign up as a duo.
Q: How many participants?
A: Each group will have about 8 adults.
Q: Where can I have my other questions answered?
A: Email email@example.com
